This is Plymouth -- A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after two 15-year-old girls were attacked as they sat on a bench. The girls, both aged 15, were sittingt on a bench in Dockacre Road, Launceston, when they were approached by an unknown man who sat down and started talking to them. They got up to leave when the offender offered his hand to one of them; she shook it and he pulled her towards him, kissed her, and grabbed her around the back of the neck before he inappropriately touched her. The girl managed to pull away. He then tried to grab the second girl by the arm but she resisted and the two girls, who are from Launceston, left the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened around 3.15pm on Thursday April 11. Anyone with information is asked to contact police by telephoning 101, quoting crime reference BL/13/346 or 347, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. The 33-year-old man from Launceston, has been released on police bail until May 10.
