THE first 100 years of Brownies has been celebrated with a pool party at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre.The group was first set up by Lord Baden-Powell in 1914 to open up the Girl Guiding movement to a wider age range.Brownies were first run as a group for the youngest members of the Guide Association by Agnes Baden-Powell, Lord Baden-Powell's younger sister.And to mark the movement's 100th anniversary, the Grimsby District group has taken part in a number of activities throughout the year.Mauveen...
