This is Lincolnshire -- Police are appealing for witnesses after a half-naked man approached a 14-year-old girl in Spalding. The girl was walking from Spalding along Pinchbeck Road on Sunday morning when a man in a blue Ford Focus pulled up alongside her. As she neared the cemetery entrance the driver lowered the window and continued to drive alongside her, on the wrong side of the road, with the driver's side closest to the kerb. The driver is described as a white male, aged 20 to 30, with blue eyes, short brown hair and a scar on his right cheek. He was wearing a blue and red striped polo shirt but was naked from the waist down. He was wearing slippers on his feet. The incident took place between 10am and 10.30am on Sunday. It is believed the car may have travelled some distance on the wrong side of the road, including crossing the traffic lights at Woolram Wygate. Lincolnshire Police have urged anyone who was in the area on Sunday morning, and who saw a vehicle matching the description, to contact Spalding CID by calling 101 (extension 2635) and quoting incident number 162 of May 19. DS Lance Morgan said: "This is an unusual but concerning incident that has left a young woman shaken. "Although the vehicle involved is a common make and colour, the manner of driving would have been very noticeable and I would urge anyone with information to contact us as quickly as possible". * Crimes can be reported anonymously by calling CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. *
