A MAN who was arrested after approaching a nine-year-old girl has been released without charge.
The 56-year-old, from Sandbach, was questioned by Cheshire Police on Friday after a schoolgirl reported to teachers that she had been approached in Middlewich Road shortly before 9am.
PC Ian Capper, from Cheshire Police, said: "The girl did the correct thing by not speaking to someone she didn't know and by telling an adult straight away about behaviour that had caused her concern.
"As a result we made a search of the area and identified the man in question.
"He was arrested and following an investigation he was released without charge due to lack of evidence." Reported by This is 2 days ago.
