Tickets £15.75. 2. On Tuesday at 4.30pm there is an exhibition seminar - No Borders, 'Can we seperate politics from art?' – at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. It forms part of a programme of talks, lectures and seminars supporting No Borders exhibition. Join Sarah Kew, Rowen Mackenzie and Sean Pierce to discuss some of the issues raised by the exhibition. The Womanhood, Wellbeing and Human Flourishing World-renowned dub poet is performing in support of a week-long programme of activities for International Women's Day. Jean has written about her experiences of living with schizophrenia and has taught creative writing classes with young people coping with mental health issues for the Showcase Smoothie project in Leicestershire. Tickets £3. 4. Get spooked on a ghost walk at Stoke Park Estate on Friday at 7.30pm. Find out about the ghostly goings on and the legend of the girl killed whilst riding her horse at Stoke Park 300 years ago. Meeting place: The Cameron Centre, Lockleaze, BS7 9XB. Please note: appropriate footware to be worn due to uneven and muddly ground. Warm, waterproof clothing to be worn and a torch required. 5. Afro-funk band KonKoma play at Colston Hall on Friday at 8pm – tickets £10. 6. Alma Tavern theatre will be staging Shelter, a play about a family in Bedminster struggling to survive during the Blitz of 1941, from Tuesday until Saturday at 8pm. Tickets £7-£9. 7. The Bristol Old Vic Studio is staging the premiere of a new stage adaptation of acclaimed author Alan Garner's captivating short story, The Breadhorse, from Thursday until Saturday. The Breadhorse is a playground game where children carry each other on their backs. In Garner's story, this boisterous game turns nasty as one boy is forced to be the "Breadhorse" again and again. It will be performed at 11am and 2pm on Thursday, 8pm on Friday and 3pm and 8pm on Saturday. Tickets £12/£18. 8. Bar of the week to try: The Louisiana 9.
