A SWIMMER had to be rescued and her would-be rescuers airlifted to safety from the base of a steep cliff in Perranporth.The RNLI lifeboat, St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue and the Royal Navy helicopter from RNAS Culdrose were involved in the rescue on Thursday evening.They were called out after it was reported that a girl had got into difficulty swimming between Droskyn Point and Cathedral Caverns at Perranporth.The lifeboat was able to reach the girl with the help of the coastguard team...
