A 60-YEAR-OLD is set to stand trial accused of indecently assaulting a child in the 1970s. At Truro Crown Court on Friday, Christopher Prowse, of Riviere Towans, Phillack, Hayle, pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecently assaulting the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, on dates between 1974 and 1979. The alleged victim was aged under 10 at the time the abuse was said to have started. Prowse was granted conditional bail to appear before the court for trial later this year.
