This is Surrey -- A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 17-year-old girl in Oxted last night. Officers were called to an address in Amy Road at about 5.20pm on Friday, January 24 after the body of a girl was discovered at the property. Detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team are now investigating and while the investigation is still in the early stages it is believed the victim and the offender are known to each other. According to police, a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. The girl's next of kin have been informed.
