Five men - including four Nigerian students - appear in court on following police investigation

This is Plymouth -- FIVE men – four of them Nigerian students – will appear at Crown Court next year in connection with a number of charges relating to sexual assaults and extreme pornography. Their arrests followed an investigation by police – entitled Operation Weevil – following disclosures by three girls, all aged under 14, and a 22-year-old woman. All five men appeared separately at Plymouth Magistrates Court. Kelvin Fineboy of Gilwell Street, Greenbank, faced two charges of sexual assault by touching on girl aged under 16 between January 1 and January 31 this year. The 25-year-old also appeared on the charge of facilitating a sexual offence on a girl aged under 16 on May 7, 2013. He is accused of touching the girl as she and another girl lay in his bed, despite her protests. He is also accused of sending a text message to another man on how to get a girl the man was sitting with to have intercourse with him. Fineboy, a Nigerian student at Plymouth University, offered no plea and was remanded into custody to appear at Crown Court on January 6 next year. Pascal Uzoechi, aged 25, and from Blenheim Road, Greenbank pleaded not guilty to the charge of sexual assault by touching on a girl aged under 16 on September 8, this year. The court heard the Nigerian student had met two girls in the Cuba bar and they had gone back to his home. One girl then left and he is alleged to have grabbed and touched the other. Prosecutor Michael Brown told the court the girl panicked and locked herself in a toilet, while Uzoechi pounded on the door. Mr Brown said that when she tried to leave Uzoechi pulled her back and punched her. She then fled when her friend returned. District Judge David Gostling remanded Uzoechi into custody, adjourning the case until January 6 next year at Plymouth Crown Court. Fellow Nigerian student Ajap Brown Enock, aged 24, offered no plea to the charge of possessing 134 extreme pornographic images, which the court heard showed depictions of dogs and horses. The court heard from prosecutors that Enock, of Woodland Terrace, Mutley, is accused of deliberately searching for the images. He was granted conditional bail and will next appear at Plymouth Crown Court on January 6, next year. Obinna Nwafor, aged 26, from Alexander Road, Mutley, appeared facing the single charge of raping a 23-year-old woman. He entered no plea. The court heard Nwafor was accused of asking the woman to come to his home before cuddling her. However, he is accused of then demanding the woman strip before he allegedly raped her. Following submissions from his solicitor, Stephen Walker, District Judge David Gostling granted Nwafor conditional bail and adjourned the case to January 6 next year at Plymouth Crown Court. Burham Abdulrahman, aged 33, appeared at court charge with sexual assault by touching a girl aged under 16 in May this year. The court heard he had sat with the girl on a sofa and began to touch her despite her repeated requests he stop. The court was told that when he was arrested he allegedly told police that he would "smash her face" and "rape her next time". Abdulrahman – who has lived in the UK for 10 years and has indefinite leave to remain – denied the charge, but accepted he had failed to answer bail on December 10. He was granted conditional bail and will next appear at Plymouth Crown Court on January 6, next year. Reported by This is 10 hours ago.
