This is Hull and East Riding -- POLICE have this afternoon named a 15-year-old boy who was killed after being knocked down by a car in Barton. Koen Allwood and an unnamed girl, also 15, were hit by a blue Peugeot 306 on Dam Road, close to the junction with Humber Road, at around 10:50pm yesterday. Both teenagers were taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious life-threatening injuries, where the boy died. The girl remains in hospital, where her condition was described as "serious". A Humberside Police spokeswoman said two 23-year-old men who were in the car were not injured in the accident. Both were arrested at the scene and are in police custody helping police with their enquiries. Anyone who saw the accident, or the Peugeot 306 shortly before, are asked to call Humberside Police on 101.
