This is Leicestershire -- A girl has suffered a suspected broken ankle after being hit by a car outside a college. The 14-year-old student was crossing outside Lutterworth College this morning when the accident occurred. After receiving first aid from staff at the college she was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for further treatment. A spokesman for the college in Bitteswell Road, Lutterworth, said: "At approximately 8.40am a car was in collision with a 14-year-old student from Lutterworth College who was crossing the Bitteswell Road at the time. "The student was given immediate assistance by First Aid trained Lutterworth College staff before the arrival of an ambulance. "The student was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary." Police confirmed the girl's injuries were not life-threatening.
