Four pupils spend holidays building a wildlife habitat This is Hull and East Riding --

FOUR Beverley Minster Primary School pupils have had a busy summer building a wildlife habitat for the town.

Katie Kelly, Mahala Shipley, Ruvarashe Zvaraya and Evie Burnley, better known as Lifestyle group the Famous Four, built the wildlife hut in their school grounds over the summer holiday period.

The girl's Lifestyle supervisor, Lisa Kelly, said: "The girls did lots of research and began by gathering lots of materials from local skips, with permission, and from neighbours.

"Everything was transported to the woodlands, the area was cleared and they began building.

"They used lots of concrete blocks, pallets, bricks, cardboard, stones, leaves, cardboard tubes, bottles, newspapers, bamboo canes, straw, tiles, plant pots, rubble, branches, logs and other bits and bobs."

The Famous Four have also raised money for Hull Harp, a homeless charity, by sitting outside Morrisons in Beverley on cardboard with their sleeping bags.

They also raised more than £300 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, with a sponsored bag pack at Wilkinsons in Beverley. Reported by This is 8 hours ago.
