A 15-YEAR-old girl was rescued by coastguard teams after getting stuck on cliffs close to Meadfoot beach in Torquay.
Rescuers said the girl had fallen down the cliff face and found herself hanging on to a gorse bush.
She was reportedly with another 15-year-old friend who raised the alarm at about 9pm on Monday.
Coastguards used cliff gear to safely lower the girl to the bottom of the cliffs. She had been stuck about 30ft to 40ft up. A spokesman for the coastguards said the girl was not hurt. It had been a 'tricky' operation.
The Torbay Coastguard operation was led by the South East Devon Sector Manager.
A spokesman said: "We rescued a 15-year-old girl who had found herself hanging on to a gorse bush after slipping down the cliff face.
"The unhurt casualty was lowered to the beach by the cliff rescue team and reunited with her family." Reported by This is 11 hours ago.
